Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival
Bard on the Beach was established in 1990 to provide Vancouver residents and tourists with affordable, accessible Shakespearean productions of the finest quality. The plays are staged in Vanier Park on Vancouver's waterfront, in open-ended tents with a spectacular backdrop of mountains, sea and sky.

World Naked Bike Ride

Car-Free Vancouver Day
This year will once again see festivals in Kitsilano, Main Street, the West End, and Commercial Drive.
Help make the point that streets are for people, not cars. Participate in the celebration that will define the future of the community. This event is 100 per cent volunteer-run.

Scandinavian Midsummer Festival
Thousands of people visit the Scandinavian Community Centre every year to celebrate the traditions and festivities of Scandinavian Midsummer. In its 15th year, it is a weekend of fun-filled activities, living history and non-stop entertainment for the whole family. This year, the Midsummer Festival is going back in time and inviting the stories from the Travels of the Vikings to be brought back to life!

If you’re looking to find some sweet deals or just want to have a good time, the Richmond Night Market is the place for you. With over 300 booths to pick from, chances are you won’t leave empty-handed. They have hats, clocks, T-shirts, cell-phones, video games, CD’s, toys, even underwear.

Critical Mass
If you like biking then why not take over the streets in a bicycle parade.
Join fellow bicyclists, skaters, and bladers for this leisurely and spirited celebratory ride and roll through the streets of Vancouver. Everyone using pedal power is welcome.
Meet at the Vancouver Art Gallery on the Georgia Street side between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. -- and roll and ride at 6:00 p.m. The ride is on rain, shine, or snow! Canada Day Burrard Inlet Fireworks

Canada Day at Canada Place
